Mental illness affects everyone. Regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economic status or background, anyone can experience a mental illness. In fact, one in four people will experience a mental illness this year. That’s more than a half million people in Southwestern Pennsylvania and millions across the country. Mental Illness impacts not only the individual experiencing it but loved ones, family members and friends as well. NAMI is here to help. We offer a variety of support services, educational programs and advocacy activities for anyone affected by mental illness.
