The Office of Behavioral Health is responsible for providing Allegheny County residents with a coordinated, community-focused system of high quality and cost-effective mental health and substance abuse services, including prevention, crisis intervention, treatment, and community support services. The Office is comprised of three Bureaus: The Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Services; The Bureau of Mental Health Services and The Bureau of Children and Adolescent Services.
Allegheny County Telephone Crisis Intervention Hotline

Allegheny County has established a comprehensive Telephone Crisis Intervention Service for individuals in crisis situations. The hotline provides round-the-clock counseling, emergency care, and referrals by professional mental health and addictions counselors. Callers can receive immediate crisis counseling and/or be referred to a behavioral health provider. A mobile crisis team can be dispatched when appropriate.
