NAMI Southwestern Pennsylvania is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness through recovery focused support, education and advocacy.

Mental Health First Aid trainings offered

Mental Health First Aid is a 8 hour public education program which introduces participants to the risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems and how to assist an individual who is experiencing a mental health crisis. Audiences that would benefit from this type of training would be school personnel, faith communities, first responders, employers and individuals working with youth.

As a part of the SW Mental Health First Aid Collaborative, NAMI Southwestern PA offers both types of Mental Health First Aid Courses, adult and youth. Contact NAMI Southwestern PA at 412-366-3788 for information about scheduling a training for your group or organization.
