Member Lending Library
Library Policy
NAMI Southwestern Pennsylvania has comprised a lending library of over two hundred informative and educational books, videos, and periodicals. Topics range from children and adolescent diagnosis to helping families cope with a mental illness diagnosis. Materials can be borrowed by mail or by visiting the office at NAMI Southwestern Pennsylvania.
The NAMI Southwestern Lending Library is available to current NAMI Southwestern Pennsylvania members only. Membership can be obtained by either contacting the office at (412) 366-3788 or join online (make this a link to the page to joi.) now. The following outlines the policy and procedures for borrowing resource materials:
- Each item may be checked out for a period of up to one month. Members who wish to keep materials for longer than one month must make arrangements with NAMI Southwestern Pennsylvania by mail or phone call.
- When borrowing videos/DVD, a refundable deposit of $20.00 is required. Check is to be written to “NAMI Southwestern Pennsylvania”.
- Up to four items may be borrowed at a time.
- Member is responsible for returning the borrowed item(s) by due date, either in person or by mail unless other arrangements have been made with NAMI Southwestern Pennsylvania.
- If a book or video is not returned or lost, the borrower is responsible for replacement.
