NAMI Connection: New Peer-Led Support Group in Pittsburgh

Exciting news! NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania will be holding a NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group beginning Monday, Sept 11 at the Dormont Library from 6 to 7:30 pm. The group will meet the second and fourth Monday of every month.

NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group is a free, peer-led support group for adults living with mental illness. Support group peers will gain insight from hearing the challenges and successes of others. NAMI Connection groups are led by NAMI-trained facilitators who’ve been there. These support groups are unique, because they follow a structured model to ensure everyone in the group has an opportunity to be heard. By sharing personal experiences in a safe and confidential setting, support group peers will gain hope and develop relationships. The group encourages empathy, productive discussion, and a sense of community.
